Two New PULSE Associates Join PULSE this Summer!

Allie Bustin and Regan Curry Join PULSE!

PULSE is pleased to announce that Allie Bustin and Regan Curry have joined PULSE this summer as associates.

Allie is the Recruiting and Partnership Associate while Regan is serving at the Marketing and Communications Associate.  We are delighted to have both of them provide much needed support over the summer.  Both have tremendous gifts and talents and we are excited to see the ways that they will continue to enhance the PULSE program.

Allie states, “I’ve heard great things about the program as a whole, from outsiders and volunteers alike, and it seemed like a good fit – a passion for service and passion for Pittsburgh. I’m looking forward to meeting and engaging new graduates in public service in Pittsburgh, connecting with new non-profits in the area, and furthering my own knowledge of non-profit and volunteer management”.

Check out their bios below and give them a warm PULSE welcome.

Allie Bustin grew up in Lancaster County, but calls Pittsburgh home. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Linguistics in 2012, she completed a year of AmeriCorps VISTA service with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh. She continued her pursuit of public service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica. After completing her service in 2016, she returned to Pittsburgh to begin graduate school, pursuing degrees in both International Development and Law. She is passionate about service and cross-cultural communication, and spends her free time designing prints and greeting cards while trying to keep her array of plants alive. She is excited to continue engaging volunteers in Pittsburgh through PULSE, and hopes to aid in cultivating a community of service and innovation.

Regan Curry is currently a senior at the University of South Carolina, where she is majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in English. Regan has called Pittsburgh her home her entire life, and is excited to be able to give back to the community that helped shaped her to be the person that she is today. Regan is looking to pursue a career in Environmental Law, and thus is excited to be a part of cultivating a community of servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh, focusing on specific environmental aspects that will transform the city’s productivity.
