James Souder grew up in Harrisonburg, VA and graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with an Environmental & Social Sustainability degree. James was a founding member of the Sustainable Food Initiative Club on campus, which helped create gardens, implement a produce stand, and deliver excess cafeteria food to homeless shelters. James spent a semester in the Middle East through a cross-cultural program, a summer in Philadelphia working with kids on urban farms, and two summers working with the Summer Peacebuilding Institute. He is an avid photographer and musician.
