Partner Story: Manchester Academic Charter School

Manchester Academic Charter School ‘provides a high quality education and enrichment to children from early childhood through middle school. MACS serves over 250 children from the Northside and communities throughout Allegheny County’.

Vasilios Scoumis is the Chief Executive Officer of the Manchester Academic Charter School. In the following interview, he speaks about the experience partnering with PULSE.

CC: What is the most rewarding part of working with PULSE?

VS: The relationships and seeing PULSE fellows with our children.

CC: How has your partnership with PULSE impacted your organization?

VS: Positively. The PULSE experience brings a new perspective on subject matter.

CC: What do you like most about your current PULSE follow and/or other fellows you’ve worked with?

VS: The energy they bring.

CC: What would you tell other Pittsburgh nonprofits about PULSE?

VS: Nothing – because I want them all for MACS :).
