Aaron grew up on a small farm in Ohio. After graduating from West Liberty University, he moved to Pittsburgh to serve as an AmeriCorps member. After his year of service with KEYS Service Corps, he was hired as their Program Coordinator and eventually promoted to Assistant Director, helping to grow the program from 20 to 150 members.
After 20 years on staff with KEYS, Aaron moved to Harrisburg to become the Assistant Director of PennSERVE, the umbrella agency for volunteerism and community service initiatives throughout Pennsylvania.
Aaron could not be more excited to join the PULSE team. Returning to Pittsburgh brings him closer to his family in Ohio and West Virginia, as well as his friends and adopted family here. He enjoys visiting the local museums, walking the trails in local parks, any excuse to see fireworks, and Mad Mex! His hobbies include singing, photography, making drone videos, and trying to learn Chinese.
Aaron’s values, talents, and passion make him a great fit for PULSE as we continue our mission of cultivating a community of young servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh. Aaron begins his new role April 27, 2020.
