April White comes to Pittsburgh by way of Houston, TX. April received her degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. During her time at university, she was an Event Coordinator and member of the UH Food Recovery Network. She was a CT Scan and Pedi Pals volunteer at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. April was also able to be a part of a week-long health clinic mission trip to Guatemala. She is passionate about food security, health and wellness, and education. April’s hobbies include cooking/Baking and Funko Pop collecting. April is a member of our East End cohort and is serving with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh as Volunteer Liaison.
