Emily Kauchak attended Allegheny College, where she earned her B.S. in Environmental Science. During her time at Allegheny, Emily traveled abroad to Ecuador and learned about the Indigenous peoples and country dynamics. Emily served as a Directorate Fellow issuing international and domestic wildlife permits for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. She was also the Vice President of the Outing Club, an outdoors club dedicated to providing rigorous, fun outdoor adventures to all students regardless of background or experience. Emily is passionate about climate change, anti-racism, and Indigenous sovereignty. Her hobbies include running/hiking outdoors, playing the saxophone and other musical instruments, and playing soccer and frisbee. Emily was a member of our Northside cohort and served at the Urban Redevelopment Authority as the PULSE Fellow.
