Holly Benson is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in English and minored in Spanish. Serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Lake Effect Leaders (LEL), she had the chance to tend urban gardens, teach kids about careers, and bring together members from all sectors of the population in Erie County, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about public spaces/”placemaking”, community building, and sustainability/environmental justice. Holly loves art – especially that which incorporates music and different types of media, dancing, making others laugh, meditation, yoga, and walks in nature. Holly is a member of our East End cohort and is serving at the WQED as the Education Program Associate.
