A graduate of Sweet Briar College, Margaret Lamphier Meier majored in Business. During her time in school, she was involved with the Student Government Association as Inclusivity Liaison, served as GLOW (Gay, Lesbian or Whoever) President, and was a member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). She also worked as a Peer Academic Mentor and Lead Resident Advisor at Sweet Briar College.
