A graduate of Allegheny College, Maura McCampbell majored in Environmental Studies with a minor in Philosophy and concentration in Food Studies. During her time at Allegheny, Maura was a Resident Advisor, President of Sustained Dialogue, and a member of Students for Environmental Action. Maura was also an active member of Crawford County’s Green New Deal Coalition, where she worked to advance environmental agendas on a local level. Her undergraduate thesis explored the landscape of the lived Anthropocene by walking every pedestrian-accessible street within the city limits of Meadville, PA, a project which synthesized many of her interests in cultural geography. Maura is passionate about interdisciplinary thinking, sustainable food systems, and ways of creating and accessing urban life. Her hobbies include pedestrian exploration, gardening, and dabbling in fermentation. Maura was a member of our South Hilltop cohort and served with Oakland Planning Development Corporation as Marketing and Community Programs Coordinator.
