Richard Power earned a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Nonprofit Management. During the past decade, he has volunteered at many Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organizations including Allegheny Health Network, UPMC, The Woodlands Foundation, and Highmark Caring Place. His hobbies include reading, physical fitness and computer programs. Living in the city of Pittsburgh, Richard has become better aware of some of the issues confronting local communities. To tackle these issues, he believes that distributed leadership is more effective than a single leader. Richard is a member of our East End cohort and is serving with The Friendship Circle as Program Associate.
