Timothy Bender comes to Pittsburgh by way of Wellman, IA. Timothy received his degree in History, Bible and Theology from Bluffton University. During his time at Bluffton University, Timothy studied Spanish in Guatemala for a semester. Through his connections at Bluffton University, Timothy designed and carried out an individualized Summer Discovery Grant. Timothy also served with Bluffton University’s Campus Ministries program and was on the Cabaret for a Cause Planning Committee. He is passionate about agricultural land access, LGBTQ+ rights, and Trauma-Informed Theology. His hobbies include raising sheep, learning Biblical Hebrew, and restoring old work boots. Timothy was a member of our Northside cohort and served with Coraopolis Youth Creations and When She Thrives as Community Liaison.
