Victor Huerta comes to Pittsburgh by way of Reseda, California. Victor received his degree in American Studies with a minor in Biochemistry from Carleton College. Prior to joining PULSE, he was a Heath Disparities Intern for the University of Minnesota, where he researched association between communication and Latino parents’ goals for their children. Additionally, Victor was a College Access Fellow at Carlton and a Student Department Assistant for Carleton. He served as a teaching fellow with Breakthrough Miami, where he taught science to middle schoolers with an emphasis on experimental design and was also a TORCH Tutor. In his free time, Victor enjoys playing beach and indoor volleyball, baking healthy desserts, and writing. He is a part of the East End cohort, and is serving at Homewood Children’s Village, with co-fellow Aaron Dunmore.
